I thought I’d do something a little different from my usual posts and do an unboxing of December’s Glossybox. If you haven’t opened yours yet, go take a look then come back for a read. This months box is a special Christmas box and boy does it look festive! Unlike the usual baby pink boxes that get delivered to my door every month, this month I was happily surprised to find a white box with beautiful gold detailing on the lid and ‘mistletoe kisses’ embossed on the box.

After putting the usual little flyers, information cards and vouchers to the side I delved inside the box. The first product I pulled out was a Revlon nail enamel in the shade Valentine. I have a few of these polishes already and was happy to find I don’t currently own this one, it’s one more to add to the ever-growing collection. As the name would suggest, this is a beautiful red polish which I did swatch on one nail, it’s a slightly more purplish red and makes for a perfect festive nail.

Next up I pulled out, what looked at first like a cardboard flyer with a sample product of a lipgloss or a clear nail varnish but was in fact a product called Lipcote. After checking the Glossybox information card I proved my guesses wrong. It is a lipstick sealer that is water and wine resistant, hurrah! It’s not something I’ve tried before but is one I’m excited to test out as I always find my lipstick smearing, especially over the festive period.

My attention was then stole by a little palette nestled in the box, a luminizer palette by Essence cosmetics. Now if you have read any of my makeup related posts then you will know I love a highlighter so this product is bound to be a favourite. It is a trio of colours perfect for a subtle highlight or a night out glow.

Onto what I thought was the last product in the box, a long thin container that looked like it may be an eyeliner pencil or pen but was surprised to find it was a brow powder. I’m used to finding a brow powder in a palette rather than in a pen. This particular products by Collection which also happens to be the maker of my favourite drug store concealer.

Chuffed with all of my products in this months box, I picked up the information card to have a read when I remembered with this months box we got to pre-pick a lipstick but I didn’t see it in my box. It had rolled under all of the tissue. It is a gorgeous semi-matte lipstick in the shade vamp by a brand called MDMflow, a new find for me. It is a gorgeous deep wine colour that perfectly compliments the rest of the products in this months box.

Do any of you subscribe to Glossybox or another beauty box? Have you used any of the products in this months collection? Please share below if you have as I’d love to check out what you have to say or your suggestions of things to try.

  2. Ooooh the luminizer palette looks gorgeous!! I have always wanted to try out a subscription box but unfortunately no spare $ right now haha... so I guess I'll just have to live through this post. :)

  3. I don't subscribe to any beauty boxes but I used to work with a couple of people who did, used to love seeing what they received in their boxes :) It looks like you got quite a few good products in this month's subscription.

  5. This looks like a great and packed box full of goodies! I actually get boxycharm as I realize I get far more beauty products in it than in any other box, but glossybox is a great alternative if you like skincare stuff and hair!

  6. I'm not subscribed to any beauty boxes but love seeing what's in them, I'm dubious about subscribing because I only use cruelty free brands personally and you risk getting a box of products you can't use :\
